Raku Firing/Kiln Building Full-Day

Service Description

[Important Note: This workshop will take place at our warehouse located at 2492 Route 640, Hanwell, NB -- 10-15 minute drive outside of Frederiton] You’ll paint pottery pieces (either made yourself or purchased from instructor) with the glaze of your choice, then witness their transformation through fire and smoke into beautiful and unique works of art that you’ll take home with you. Experienced Raku Potter, Tim Isaac will walk you through the process as we go, explaining the methods and techniques he's developed and mastered over many years. No previous experience is necessary! The day will begin with a walkthrough of building a Raku Kiln that we will then use for the second part of the workshop, firing! Tim will walk participants through the components of a Raku Kiln and the decision-making that goes along with building one from scratch.
